Senator Paterson acknowledges and pays respect to the ANZAC soldiers who formed part of a six week long campaign at the end of WWI. The Australians were under the command of one of Australia’s greatest military commanders, Sir Henry Chauvel. Their actions hastened the end of the war and paved the way for the creation of the state of Israel.
