Morrison government delivers over $411k to Beth Weizmann Community Centre for safety solutions
The Beth Weizmann Community Centre has been a successful applicant of the Morrison government’s Safer Communities Fund, receiving $411,525.90 for the installation of blast proof windows and ten security bollards.
The Morrison government’s Safer Communities Fund provides funding to address crime and anti-social behaviour through the implementation of crime prevention and security initiatives.
Patron Liberal Senator for Macnamara James Paterson said, “The Morrison government understands the unique security and safety challenges faced by the Jewish community. We stand shoulder to shoulder with the Jewish community in meeting the cost of those challenges.”
Liberal Member for Goldstein Tim Wilson MP said, “Beth Weizmann is a critical hub for the Jewish community in Goldstein and Macnamara. These federal funds will ensure that locals visiting the centre feel safe and secure against anti-Semitic harassment.”
State Liberal Member for Caulfield David Southwick MP said, “With security issues remaining a real concern, it’s wonderful to see the Morrison government once again prioritising local Jewish community safety in our area.”
